It was Sunday lunchtime and we were visiting Baltimore in the midst of challenging times for Charm City. But you wouldn’t know it in this part of town where colorful historical buildings line picturesque streets of a beautiful waterfront.
We had heard very positive reviews and wanted to try this restaurant. Mistake number 1 we didn’t reserve a table. The restaurant was full on both floors. The only open tables were in the patio but had no umbrellas.
We just had to wait and that we did. I am glad we were patient because this is a great seafood place with pleasant service …. prompt and professional. The raw bar offers great varieties of Oysters, Clams and Shrimps.
We ordered 2 types of oysters and raw clams ..what a treat!! then the fried calamari … then being in Baltimore the crab cakes were a must. All came fresh, tasty and crisp. We ordered white wine first then a medium body red. The atmosphere , the food and the surrounding made it a very enjoyable experience to be had.
We will go back when we visit Charm City again and this time we’ll make sure to reserve!!
