Mother ‘s day May 8th 2011

Sunday was mother ‘s day – May 8th.

My daughter and i decided to book a mother’s day brunch at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington. The fare promised to be good for all tastes and the venue is always a pleasure to visit. We took my wife and were there right ion time.

We booked for 10.00 AM to avoid the rush at 1 PM and 4 PM. There were several stations with a variety of fresh and cooked foods. The whole was colorful and tastefully laid out. There was a station for made to order omelttes with ingredients randing from cheese and herbs to mushrooms and asparagus. It was literally a feast . There were fresh waffles made on the spot and shrimps, quinoa salad, the traditional bacon, sausage plus carving stations for roast beef. The service at the table was prompt and discreet . All in all it was a good start for the day .

Later on this week we will be attending SIAL canada an international  food  trade show taking place in Toronto this week. I will keep you posted. Till then….signing off.
