Il Fornello… means the oven in Italian and I can assure you there is a prominent one as you enter the premises… a pizza oven , authentic as it comes with wood burning on one side and the pizza pie on the other… the dough is so thin it cooks in minutes . That is how efficient and real this whole thing is. The taste is great and the atmosphere light and pleasant putting to rest the image of suburbia as a culinary wasteland …..
That is definitely not the case with Il Fornello…. In particular the wine list that is very well organized and evolves every time i visit. Dan Cristiano, is a thoughtful and cultured manager with a flair for elegant service and efficient delivery. This is a place for business meetings, special occasions and friendly gatherings …. Food is good , portions generous and quality very good…. enjoy and Salute!!!
